I am a PhD student at the Max Planck Institute for Software Systems, as part of the ELLIS PhD Program (50 students selected out of 1,700 candidates in 2022). My research lies at the intersection of Diversity & Creativity of LLMs, Generative AI for Education, and Reinforcement Learning & AutoML, with a focus on developing methods that are both theoretically grounded and practically impactful.
I hold an Erasmus Mundus Joint M.Sc. in Big Data Management and Analytics (Université Paris-Saclay, UPC Barcelona, ULB Brussels) and a B.Sc. in Computer Science from Vietnam National University, Hanoi (High Distinction). Under the supervision of Adish Singla, I work on reinforcement learning algorithms and their applications to education and programming. I was also a Research Intern at INRIA, supervised by Isabelle Guyon and Lisheng Sun-Hosoya, where I worked on meta-learning from learning curves.
